Christian Science Fiction & Fantasy Blog Tour: THE LEGEND OF THE FIREFISH

The blog tour focus for August 2007 is the adventurous Christian fantasy by Brian Polivka, THE LEGEND OF THE FIREFISH (Harvest House):

The Legend of the Firefish is a timeless tale of the pursuit of faith and honor.

Packer Throme longs to bring prosperity back to his decaying fishing village by discovering the trade secrets of a notorious pirate who hunts the legendary Firefish and sells the rare meat. Armed with the love of the priest’s daughter and a noble purpose, Packer stows away on the ship Trophy Chase bound for sea. But many tests of his faith and his resolve follow.

Will belief and vision be enough for the young man to survive?

For those who couldn't get into THE RESTORER for being too "chick fic," you won't have that problem with this "guy fic" story.

I just wanted to let you know I took your advice and tried some persian tea; can't say I'm a fan, but new experience is the stuff of great novels. THE LEGEND OF THE FIREFISH is a great novel.

So you thought it was guy fic? I've called it a "guy book" but have wondered if that was really so. Though it has lots of action, it still seems more like a character driven novel. Not fast paced like Fearless at all.

My dad's reading The Restorer right now and he's really liking it--he keeps calling me to talk about it--he does that when he likes a book as we're the only readers in the family. :)

But I can't wait to hand him a copy of Firefish, I know He'll love this book. He's a huge fan of sailing, and sword fights, and inner struggles.

Awesome book! I really can not stop talking about it to my mother who is reading The Restorer right now, because I pestered her into reading it. She's happy that have stopped grumbling about Bella's stupidity in Eclipse! lol
