Write as if Your Mom Will Read It

Faboo author and defender of the faith, John C. Wright, has posted on why you should write as if your mom might read it (in response to some writing advice from Robert Sawyer with which he disagrees).

If you champion fiction without the profanity and gratuitous lustings common in our day, check out his blog entry.

My mum's no longer around to read anything I write but I do write my blog as if my mother-in-law might read it .... because at times she does. :)

With some of my earlier short stories and such, my mom did read it! Hah. With her journalistic degree and the fact she's got a nonfiction book coming out in August, she's a great editor, bucking the conventional wisdom that mothers will gloss over your mistakes just because they love ya.
