Why John C. Wright Is Not A Deist

I subscribe to the feed for John C. Wright's blog through Bloglines because, with alarming regularity, he posts stuff that is just so good, so dense, so chewably deliciously smart, that I want to make a snack before I settle in to read it.

Here is one just such post.

Please, do yourself a favor: Read it.

Atheism is probably one of the dumber religions. So I son't see where he underwent that big of a transformation. Existence is miraculous, impossible to explain, almost provably impossible by our/my perception. So give me agnosticism.

I'm like John. I find agnosticism a cop-out. I like the seeker/finder model better. :)

Yeah, there are various sects of agnosticism I suppose. I'm not advocating complacency. Seeking is good. But to declare the anwsers "found" to me is like Bush's declaring the war over in Iraq 10 minutes into it.

Also, thanks for the lovely review of Godspeed Mir. It meant a lot to me.

I think at some point, you find SOME answers and in time find more. But some answers must and can be found is how I see it, and if they aren't found, then one's not looking hard enough. :D

Oh, and you're welcome. Just being truthful.
