NaNoWriMo: End of Day Four

5272

Half-Empty Glass: That means I'm 1528 words behind the ideal pace of 1700 words/day.

Half-Full Glass: But that also means I'm up 5272 words. Me doing the YAY DANCE!

I don't know what time it is where you are, but it is super early where I am at. I got up to write on my novel, which is 5,042 words so far.

It's EARLY. Super early. Yeah. Like, 5:00 AM or 4:30 AM. Yeppers, I love my novel, to get up this early.

If you eschew contractions and employ characters who stutter, you can add dramatically to your word cound.

I'm not doing Nano. I've only made one half-hearted attempt to do Nano in my life. But even I realize it's impossible to be 1528 days behind - unless you're working on the Nano from five years ago or something. :)

Oops. I made a typo! Make that 1528 words behind. Hah.

WriteroftheWorld, yeah, that was 4:30. I am a nite owl.

Snarkster. I need to introduce that stuttering character at once!:)

Mir-- congrats! Are you working on a new novel or on the one that is represented in your sidebar?

Sidebar, Matt. I want to have a complete rough draft by year's end, and spend the early months of 2007 on the polishing. Then I want to focus on some short fiction and poetry for a month, perhpas, while I plot out and outline novel number two.

I'm about about 5400, can't remember exatly. That's my goal as well. to have a first draft by the end of the year. But I must admit, I'm not really nanoing my life away. . .because I just can't seem to make the rest of my life stop. ROfL
